On April 25, 2019, Horrocks Engineers received the Employer of the Year Award at the annual Women in Transportation Gala. This award was presented by the Northern Utah WTS Chapter. WTS is an international organization that aims to strengthen the transportation industry by advancing women with careers in transportation. Its members include men and women who work together for equity in the field of transportation.
Horrocks was recognized for recent efforts to support women within the transportation industry. These efforts include the creation of a Gender Intelligence Committee and a group mentoring program for new employees. Horrocks also continues to provide internal and external professional development opportunities for all employees and has pledged to improve gender diversity as part of the Women’s Leadership Institute ElevateHER challenge.
This award is the second Employer of the Year recognition awarded to Horrocks by a WTS chapter in 2019.
