Gil Horrocks Founder of Horrocks Engineers

1968

 HORROCKS FOUNDED 

GILBERT HORROCKS

Horrocks Engineers is founded by Gilbert and Lois Horrocks in American Fork, Utah.

1970

Horrocks Water Resources
 20 EMPLOYEES 

EARLY GROWTH

Horrocks' initial projects focus on water resources and construction management as business expands steadily.

1980

Horrocks Expands into Transporation
 40 EMPLOYEES 

Horrocks completes its first I-15 study and bridge project with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).

EXPANDING INTO TRANSPORTATION

Jim Horrocks Becomes Horrocks

1990

 70 EMPLOYEES 

LEADERSHIP SHIFT

Jim Horrocks becomes the President of Horrocks.

2000

Horrocks grows from 3 to 10 offices
 100 EMPLOYEES 

NEW OFFICES

Horrocks grows from three offices to 10 and helps prepare for the 2002 Winter Olympic games in Salt Lake City.

2010

Horrocks Full Service Engineering
 200 EMPLOYEES 

FULL-SERVICE CIVIL ENGINEERING

Horrocks focuses on hiring experts, expanding its service market, and cultivating alternative delivery options to become a full-service engineering firm.

 400 EMPLOYEES 

50 YEARS OF BUSINESS

Horrocks celebrates its 50th anniversary, growing to nearly 400 employees in 14 offices throughout the western United States.
