Horrocks’ Phoenix office opened in 2009 to serve the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. It has grown steadily to support projects of all sizes, from large Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Design-Build projects to small municipal street and sidewalk improvements. With a dedicated staff of professionals, many of whom are lifelong area residents, the growing team in Horrocks’ Phoenix office has the capacity and passion to complete projects, large and small, that serve the people of Arizona.

PHOENIX PROJECTS

STATE ROUTE 189 DESIGN-BUILD, INTERNATIONAL BORDER TO GRAND AVENUE, NOGALES, AZ

Horrocks was the lead designer for this $82M design-build project. This reconstruction project included widening 3.75 miles of SR 189 from five to seven lanes, improved traffic signals and added auxiliary lane reconfigurations at eight intersections and included two new “flyover ramps that provide a new connection between SR 189 and I-19.

PECOS ROAD, BLACKWATER AZ

Horrocks developed a plan for the Gila River Indian Community Department of Transportation that eliminated the need for curb, gutter, and scuppers by moving the sidewalk away from the roadway in Blackwater, AZ.

THORNTON ROAD: SELMA HIGHWAY TO PETERS ROAD, CASA GRANDE, AZ

This is the first section of the Thornton Road Corridor to be constructed to advance the movement of people, goods, and services for Lucid Motors and develop future growth within the Casa Grande area. 

CHANDLER HEIGHTS ROAD: RECKER ROAD TO VIA DEL ARROYO ROAD, QUEEN CREEK, AZ

The Horrocks Construction Management team supplemented Queen Creek’s staff resources by providing qualified field inspection staff to oversee construction inspection and administration services to transportation projects for the Town.

ADOT TEMPORARY TECHNICAL ENGINEERING PERSONNEL SERVICES, STATEWIDE, AZ

Since 2012, Horrocks has provided construction administration staff augmentation for transportation projects throughout Arizona.
