RESERVOIR AND WATER MAIN PROJECT

Location: Hatton, WA
The concrete reservoir that previously served Hatton, Washington, had severe cracking in the roof, which allowed rainwater to wash in dirt, insects, and animal waste and created a serious public health hazard. The reservoir was also undersized and had exceeded its useful life expectancy. In response, Horrocks designed and managed the construction of a new 106,000-gallon water reservoir and provided electrical improvements, controls, telemetry, site piping, and a valve vault structure. Horrocks worked with the Town of Hatton to acquire funding for replacement of approximately 5,000 feet of water distribution mains. As a result, the project was awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
